OVERVIEW:
Abstract Judges will review and score submitted abstracts ahead of the AMSA RMC event.
Judges can access their assigned abstracts and their submission ballot from April 9th 3PM CT— April 20th at 5:00PM CT.
You will receive two emails from the Abstract Review Platform, Submittable:
An email to with your account email username and password [Between April 9th-April 10th]
An email with abstract platform overview information will be sent on April 9th. The formal review process will go from April 9th- April 20th. Ballots need to be complete by 5PM CT/6PM ET on April 20th so the notifications to students can be compiled.
April 22nd- April 29th- Students will revise their abstracts and resubmit
May 1st- May 8th- Abstract Review of Student Revisions

In 2026, the program is focusing on the following general areas within the meat science discipline. Abstract submissions should fit into one or more of these categories. If you feel the abstract should be in a different category, please complete the rest of the review before making this recommendation.

Abstracts will be judged on the quality of the following aspects with a score of 1-5 with 5 being the best:
5- Excellent (Accepted)
4- Very Good (Accepted)
3- Good, accepted with Minor Revisions
2- Poor, accepted ONLY with Major Revisions
1-Rejected
